The Patriot Act was put into effect 21 years ago on October 26, 2001. Did this protect us from biological warfare, or did it just set the stage for the situation we find ourselves in today?

I'm 64. I've been awake to Big Brother, Deep State, banksters, medical mafia, etc since my teens. When 9/11 happened, my BS meter knew it was NOT foreign terrorists. (Plus simple physics and observation). I knew the Patriot Act was rigged against America and our Constitutional freedom. With current events, I have the advantage of perspective, of history. Wow. It’s crazy to consider that the Patriot Act was hurriedly put into place less than two months after 9/11. They sure took advantage of THAT crisis, didn’t they?
I remember at the time sort of hearing a few discussions about the risks of the Act. Potential abuse a la spying on American citizens type thing. Frankly, at the time, I was thoroughly buried in a very intense post-grad training program that left little time for any sort of recreation or outside reading, let alone thoughtful attention to current events and possible future ramifications. I wasn’t really keen on the Act (raised to always be suspicious of gov, like our Founding Fathers), but figured I have nothing to hide, and would never be a person of any interest to gov.

I wish this Act would be sent back to hell where it came from and where it belongs.

App. 2405(j)), section 620A of chapter 1 of part M of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 2371), or section 40(d) of chapter 3 of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2780(d)), has made a determination (that remains in effect) that such country has repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism, or (ii) acts for or on behalf of, or operates subject to the direction or control of, a government or official of a country described in this subparagraph;
(H) has been discharged from the Armed Services of the United States under dishonorable conditions; or
(I) is a member of, acts for or on behalf of, or operates subject to the direction or control of, a terrorist organization as defined in section 212(a)(3)(B)(vi) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(3)(B)(vi))."
I don't see anywhere that states it would be okay for a nut job to run down the street with a deadly virus vial clenched in their teeth as being perfectly okay. I read it as, it would be unlawful for any listed "Restricted Person" to have anything to do with them.

I see now how all these government overreach acts are malignancies leading to the demise of our constitutional freedoms. Health care act this new biotech xiden initiative. James, there is no risk from gain of function research other than getting ripped off and providing cover for other activities. Dr. Mark Bailey and others have gone over why GOF is a fraud. They cannot create a virus in a lab. Viruses have not been proven to exist in any way.
All that is done is chemical synthesis or modification of bacterial plasmids and then they shove them into an animal (often directly into the brain or abdomen), along with all the other toxins and garbage they use to make a cell culture of this stuff, and claim there is a GOF. All they do is poison an animal with sophisticated methods. The animal is poisoned by the foreign materials and chemicals.
I reviewed the 2015 Shi study in question and it's a joke. The mice actually died in the first ("control" which was not a control) round but only lost 10% of their weight in the second round. How is that a gain of function? That's a loss of function -- of course all referring to lab created nonsense. Pure Frankenscience. I wish I called my Substack this because this is what I discover more and more.
I will be going into GOF at some point, because the basic "science" is not understood and it is wrong. They are just more animal torture experiments and all such experiments should be stopped on that basis.
