Defend the rule of law - Enforce Article 55
Dear HHS:
Please be aware that Article 55 of the International Health Regulations requires that any amendments to be considered at the upcoming 77th World Health Assembly WERE required to be presented at least four months in advance of the assembly.
January 27, 2024 was the deadline for the Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to communicate to you, and every other state party, a package of targeted amendments in alignment with Article 55.
All available evidence shows that this deadline has been missed and that no such notification has been sent or received.
I request that you formally notify Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the World Health Organization that the United States will NOT adopt any IHR amendments at the 77th World Health Assembly, and that you also provide a public statement to the same effect.
I call upon you to publicly defend the rule of law and insist, in public, that the World Health Assembly adhere to its own rules.

January the 27th, 2024, was the deadline for the director general of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to communicate to you and every other member Nation a package of amendments to be considered at the 77th World Health Assembly.
Since the WHO DG failed to communicate a package of amendments in alignment with Article 55, please halt all further approvals and alert the WHO DG that US will not approve any IHR amendment at the World Health Assembly, WHA 77. We demand to halt any further approvals of any late IHR amendments which would be in violation of article 55.

Just sent this message to my rep and senators earlier today. I referenced the Article 55 requirement that you pointed out.
"As your constituent, I wanted to call your attention to an important development that is, in a way typical of this subject matter, flying under the radar.
The World Health Organization has apparently hit turbulence in its efforts to prepare the package of amendments to International Health Regulations (2005) that is to be subjected to a vote at this year’s World Health Assembly in Geneva. The meeting is reportedly scheduled to occur from 27 May through 1 June.
Per IHR Article 55, 'The text of any proposed amendment shall be communicated to all States Parties by the Director-General at least four months before the Health Assembly at which it is proposed for consideration.' Four months prior to 27 May is 27 January, which was last Saturday. As far as I can tell, they’re late.
Here was WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus (not an MD), speaking at an informal session on or about 22 January:
'This work is not easy. And it’s occurring in a very difficult environment. The INB and IHR working group are operating amid a torrent of fake news, lies, and conspiracy theories. There are those who claim that the pandemic agreement and IHR will cede sovereignty to WHO and give the WHO secretariat the power to impose lockdowns or vaccine mandates on countries. You know this is fake news, lies, and conspiracy theories (sic). You know these claims are completely false. You know that the agreement will give WHO no such powers because you are writing it. We cannot allow this historic agreement, this milestone in global health to be sabotaged by those who spread lies either deliberately or unknowingly.'
Even four years into this world-wrecking artificial nightmare, it still takes my breath away to hear such brazen deception uttered in such dulcet tones, and to see an organization so riddled with failure and betrayal bypass a period of introspection and contrition and head straight for an astonishing power grab.
I tend to believe my own lying eyes rather than Dr. Tedros’s silky and solemn assurances. Here again I provide a link to their own proposed amendments from their own website. I see nothing but an attempt at accumulation of power at the expense of national sovereignty and individual medical autonomy. Available for your review:

I considered making a brief roadmap to key passages, but this document is so rich with the sinister, I wouldn’t even know where to begin. We as a country need to extract ourselves from these people. Yet bills proposed in recent years to accomplish that, to one extent or another, have stalled in Congress."
