The last amendment pertains to Article 59 of the IHR. The amendment changes the time frame for countries to accept/reject the amendments from 18 months to 6 months and changes the time frame to implement changes from 24 months to 12 months.
Yes if the amendments get passed. But as we shared it is our understanding 12 of the amendments have been withdrawn. But if just the one amendment to Article 59 gets approved it will affect future amendments. We want all 13 to be withdrawn. There are A LOT of documents located at the above webpage, but (as of this time) nothing has been added since May 4-6, 2022. They have published info about the first 9 meetings of the working group. I would imagine that the information from their 10th meeting will be very interesting.

Zac Cox from the United Kingdom reported to me that he filed a request for Judicial Review on Tuesday May 17, 2022 which was rejected. Zac then filed an appeal on Friday May 20, 2022. At the end of the work day on Friday, he received a response from the Government Legal Department of the Secretary of State for Health which claimed that Zac's appeal was without merit because 12 of the 13 proposed amendments had been removed from consideration because the working group was "unable to reach a consensus."
Here is my best estimate of what may have happened:
Maybe some of the members of the WGPR actually read the amendments, comprehended them and had the same reaction that I did.
