I am a US expat, retired and currently residing in a NW barrio of Cuenca. Thanks for the good laugh this morning, including citations from the expat rag website Cuenca High Life.

Please do not fear porn a national strike that occurs here oh, about every 3 years. Barricades were removed around Cuenca yesterday so that families could visit on Father's Day. There was a propane gas truck on the street outside my house a few hours ago. If our tanks run dry, we can't cook on gas stoves or have hot water that goes through a calefon. No. Big. Whoop.

Looking forward to another hearty laugh by watching your interview with Carlos. I endured a 15 minute speech from him, given at a meeting I attended yesterday. He rambled on about Charles Darwin. I dunno, I tuned out.

This is what you get when you give out a phone number. I see you attracted the Vilca crazies who are expats: Shiloh, Daren, perhaps Nick? I recommend you do more research on the very active vaccine opponent advocates, run by native-born citizens, all over South America, easily found on Telegram, WhatsApp and Discord, (AUR Ecuador being one of many) who are not affiliated with the current crowd you're associating with. They know what they're doing and they make me proud to be residing here. If this is the kind of "reporting from the ground" that you're doing, then I won't be continuing as a subscriber for much longer.

EDIT: Just received a nastygram in Telegram from Shiloh, who's gonna tell on me to Carlos. James, start working with the genuine Ecuadorian vaccine injured advocates, not these part-timer expats, looking for a "cause" between their trips back to their home country. Ecuador deserves better and it has it, please report on it.

I don't do drama. I stick to the facts. Which of the 10 demands do you disagree with?

I am an expat in Cuenca EC, too. I very much enjoyed your article. Thanks.

I'm simply providing feedback, not the details of the current national strike, but on the sources you cited and those who you chose to interview on video recently as being authorities on reporting on conditions here. Feedback FWIW. Try DMing those behind Accion Humanista Revolucionaria Ecuador (@AurEcuador) if you plan to do a follow-up specific to advocacy work raising awareness on the jabs and the vaccine injured, not on the ongoing economic issues of the national strike. Citing "Cuenca Low Life" reporting makes us expats chuckle.

Thank you for putting all of this together and translating everything. I will be praying for the people of Ecuador, yet another nation oppressed by the Covid/Globalist tyranny.

They should have protested, loudly, when Ecuador sold out Julian Assange to the UK, at the behest of the US that paid a large bribe to its President. No sympathy here. I've got just enough left to mourn my own country, under the biden cabal.

James - Great article.

One of the stand out features of what is happening in Ecuador is that you can tell that it is a real organic uprising of very unhappy people. You can see the protest groups are messy, unorganized, and remind us of the Covid-19 freedom protests over the last 2 years, the Canadian and American truckers protests - they are organic because they are people that are united by their dissatisfaction, and come together as a group to protest.

But contrast it with the faked protests created by the World Economic Forum's deep state operatives - like the colour revolutions, the Myanmar protests, the South Korea truckers protests today adding to global supply chain disruptions, the climate change protests, the 'poor people's campaign' protests.

What do all these faked protests have in common? - which is why I call them out as fake.

1. they are all well organized and well disciplined

2. They all have the same shirts, the same head bands, the same signs

3. they all shout the same slogans

4. they are backed by flash webistes that raise money, agitate, and demand urgent action

5. they are backed by foundations and donors that lead back to the deep state and the World Economic Forum's billionaires

Give me an organic protest over a fake protest any day.
