We probably won't have much influence on timing or outcome, even if we apply pressure every way we can. Of course we need additional (positive) actions, but can expect any decisions in our favor to progress at snail speed. Doing away with government red tape or removing onerous legislation, if it happens at all, is like watching paint dry or grass grow; mostly it moves in the opposite direction. Minor victories are normally quickly negated by new bills, regulations, or EO'S which render them nullified in effect. Our "representatives" generally only care about our opinions if they are accompanied by sizable contributions. We all should know by now that voting, if it made any positive difference at all, would rapidly be legislated as illegal. We are burdened with an overweight, oppressive government which is now so massive that nobody has formulated any idea about how to go about reducing it short of revolt and reorganization from scratch. I hate to be so negative but it's an untenable situation which seems obvious to me. Our founding fathers, if consulted today, would approve of this message!
We are not told what is going on behind the scenes. That is a good thing because ANY action will be challenged in court. Just look at the new statements about autism and gender affirming care. If word had leaked out about what was in the works, neither would have ever happened. Be patient and trust that the ethical employees at the CDC, NIH and DHS are doing more of the same. Turn off the television!

The US health department is huge and has a complex hodge-podge of sub-organizations and programs, each with its own budget, mandate, enabling legislation, and time frame. It's not possible to fix everything that's broken all at once. I think the progress that has been made so far is quite impressive.
Also, the path to MAHA is informed consent, not changing one set of mandates and recommendations for another. The business of government is not to coerce or persuade/propagandize the public to do anything in particular to become healthy again. It's to give them the best information available to make those decisions for themselves.
Moreover, for too long, private financial interests (pharmaceutical companies, health care plans, medical and health care schools, universities, research journal publishers, etc.) have been doing a poor job of researching and disseminating information about wellness (rather than disease and treatment) for too long. It will take a long time and a lot of complex work for the government to be reoriented in a way that brings wellness and wellbeing information to the surface, especially since so much of that information does not enrich the companies that dominate the big-pharma/big-ag/big-chemical/big-tech/military/CIA industrial complex.
